Hi TrackmaniaExchange!

It's time for a new era of SpeedFun. There will be a ESFC (Evo SpeedFun Cup) in January 2021. To make this as much fun as possible, we ask for your help in building maps for this event. Please read through the guidelines mentioned here to see what we are looking for.

ESFC Mapping Guidelines (follows TMX Mapping Guidelines)

SpeedFun Definition:

  • Similar to FullSpeed. However, tracks involve release parts and/or drifts generally not started by braking. Can also include walls, loops, and SpeedDrifts, but usually not as many as FullSpeed. Turnovers, corkscrews, and 'Tsunami-Walls' are not common.
  • At least 3 drift/release parts per map

General Track Design:

  • Author time between 45 seconds and 1 minute
  • A clear and simple design, easy to complete on your first run
  • No parts requiring perfect speed or overly precise steering
  • No blind turns
  • Place checkpoints strategically to reduce the possibility of cuts
  • Intermediate difficulty
  • Preferred mood: Day
  • Be mindful of display cost, under 7,000 is preferred (avoid pink cherry trees)
  • Please set no Pasword on your map during the testing phase, you can do so for the final map

Required:

  • Scenery should be used to lead the driver
  • Use only default Nadeo signs or the official TMX signpack
  • Signs should be consistent and easy to follow
  • Ability to finish the track from any stationary CP respawn using the main route
  • The next CP should be placed no more than 10 seconds from the previous - stationary respawn
  • Cam changes for Wallrides and Loops

Allowed:

  • Embedded items/blocks
  • Blockmixing
  • GPS (only if triggered somewhere other than the start)
  • Dirt, grass, sausage and ice blocks are allowed, but should be kept to a minimum; main part should be platform and/or road blocks

Not Allowed:

  • Multiple finishes
  • Custom basemaps
  • Checkpoints with no static respawn (eg. Ring CP)
  • Texture mods
  • Custom music
  • Custom signs
  • Flickering textures
  • Multilap starts
  • Alternative routes
  • Previously released maps
  • PF starts
  • The following blocks: Anti-Boost (reverse booster), Reactor Boost, No Engine, No Stearing, Slowmotion, Fragile
  • Inappropriate map names (see rules below)

Naming Rules:

  • All maps must be named with the prefix 'ESFC' (ESFC - 'Name of the map'),
    with the following coloring: $c33E$fffSFC$i - Map Name
  • No offensive names (in any language)
  • No special characters
  • No repetitive names (eg. ESFC - MyTrack1, ESFC - MyTrack2, ESFC - Mytrack3, etc.)
  • No lazy names: (eg. ESFC - Stadium, ESFC - 3, ESFC - hbfgfugbng)
