Welcome to Royal Plastic Gameplay, a map made for the fans of puzzle solving and RPGs.
This map highly focuses on puzzle solving, and knowing tricks to be able to solve each checkpoint (for a total of 130 cps). The map is aimed to players that are quite good at the game (most author medals on the main campaign) and that have already played multiple RPGs. The map is very long (estimated discovery : 4/5 hours) and has a lot of challenges to overcome, so, for a more enjoyable experience and avoiding being stuck, you should be playing the map with friends in a call, or on stream (if you allow backseating).
Before starting to play it, there are a few things you should know :
- The checkpoints are numbered, and there is a beacon (a beam) to show where the next checkpoint is (the position of the beacon changes everytime you cross a checkpoint).
- The map is meant to be played with the use of cam 7 : the map was thought out with the player having to solve a puzzle, and the map doesnt have much pathfinding (apart from a few cps).
- Sometimes, you need to go through previous cps or areas you have already been to, to be able to reach the next checkpoint.
- Finishing the map is going to be quite the journey, but i hope it is going to be memorable. ; )
- You shouldn't go to areas meant for further checkpoints : if you are in front of a checkpoint you shouldn't take, it isn't the intended way : there is another solution (and it can mess up partially the beacon system).
- There is no waterpool climb required to finish the map.
- Some cps have multiple solutions or have unseen cuts, but it doesn't matter how you finish the map, every solution is a good solution.
A particular thanks to Snappie for playtesting the map and finding several cuts, and giving me feedback, forcing me to change the difficulty or the layout of some checkpoints.
With that out of the way, i hope you have a strong mental, good friends to play with, and have fun playing the map! : )
