SCATTERBRAIN is a 40 checkpoint long incredibly hard Trial map that starts off pretty easy and progressively gets harder, where CP 37 and 38 can easily take several hours to pass. The map is extremely varied with each CP offering a new challenge, making this map a true test of all your skills.
I originally planned to release this map prior to the ice update, where I spent over 18 hours validating it, but unfortunately some checkpoints were made impossible by the changes (cheers Nando), so I decided to fix the map and practice to get a more respectable time. After spending hours practicing on the hardest checkpoints I went for a second run and set an AT of 7:04:22.955.
You can watch a GPS run which I made by splicing together clips from my practice sessions, here:

I decided it might be a cool idea to give each checkpoint a grade based on how long it took me to pass in my original 18 hour attempt:
Simple - <1 min
Easy - 1-3 mins
Medium - 3-10 mins
Hard - 10-30 mins
Very Hard - 0.5-1 hour
Impossible - 1-3 hours
Inconceivable - 3+hours
The grades for each CP can be found either in the GPS video or the board at the start of the map.
If you are struggling with pathfinding, look out for the
white numbers, these label the path to the next CP. Do not take CPs in the wrong order as this will probably kill your run, if you're unsure, the CPs have
black numbers on them.
With all that cleared up, good luck! (you're gonna need it)
