After exploring more ice maps on the review server and searching for ice driving training, I discovered some outdated ice mechanic tracks created by Scarzor, who has since moved on from TM2020 and won't update these maps.
I've found a few community-made training maps that provide a better learning experience compared to the basic ice tracks in TM2020. Those tracks often drop you onto a field of ice without clear instructions. What's missing is a beginner-friendly introduction to ice driving, similar to Scarzor's ice slide beginner maps. Scarzor's maps, like the one with a 2-lap left turn ice slide, are great for building muscle memory, but I still crash a lot.
Now, here are my ideas for new ice maps:
Map #1: Ice Slide Left
This map features just one ice turn, starting from the location indicated by floating text. Navigate through a gate of plastic obstacles to reach the finish by aiming correctly.
Map #2: Ice Slide Right
Similar to Map #1 but with a right turn ice slide. Both maps include signs above showing the direction and keys to use "^<" (left) and "^>" (right).
Map #3: Speed Maintenance
Drive downhill through ice slide obstacles, similar to "Spring 2024 - #14," where you must maintain speed. There will be floating text indicators for the entry point and a media tracker ghost to demonstrate the ideal approach.
Map #4: Ice Turns and Bobsleigh
This map will feature five different ice turns, including tilted and flat 90° and 180° turns, along with a bobsleigh section. There will be a ghost trigger (R key) to show the entry point, and floating text will indicate when to initiate an ice slide, brake tap, and release.
